IntroductionThe focus of this page will be on the Full Size Jeep pickup manufactured from 1962 until 1988 in basically the same configuration by both Kaiser and AMC Jeep. This page is to be regarded as a reference only. Although the information contained herein will be verified for accuracy, please do not hesitate to Email corrections or challenges to claims. I feel everyone will be served best if the information in the factory Technical Service Manual were not duplicated, but rather augmented. Because the Full Size Jeep pickups have some unique systems, it is a good idea to have a Jeep Technical Service Manual and/or a Jeep parts book even if you are a veteran mechanic. Contact Zack Heisey for a comprehensive list of Jeep literature. The content of this page will be more for people who actually want to use their trucks and are looking to improve the stock running condition, or want to swap components around to make a truck representative of what could have been but never was, so spare me the purist diatribe. Thanks to everyone who contributed so far, and I expect more contributions to make this page a great source for J Series owners. The site is, after all, dedicated to the EXCHANGE of J Series information, so send me your pictures, stories, and tech. advice! (You think it's easy coming up with all of this myself!?)
